Denpasar is the center of economy in Bali. in 1906 in this city a war against the invaders, known as the “Puputan” war. The name of Denpasar means a city located north of Ngurah Rai markets.
History
Denpasar was formerly the center of the Badung kingdom in use as the center of government. Since 1958 Denpasar made as provincial administrative center of Bali's, which since that time Denpasar has grown into a city with rapid economic growth and become the center of education, culture and tourism. Denpasar itself is divided into 3 districts namely West, east and south Denpasar.
